A substance that is in a thermodynamically unstable equilibrium state, and when a certain amount of energy is applied, it undergoes a physical or chemical change (explosion), causing a sudden increase in pressure around it. It is also called an explosive. Among these, those whose explosive power can be used industrially are specified as explosives in Japan. In order to recognize the danger of explosive substances, their detonation propagation, explosive power, thermal decomposition intensity, combustion intensity, transition from combustion to detonation (roar), and various sensitivities are tested and evaluated.
