According to JIS D 1010, which specifies the terms and meanings related to types of automobiles, trucks are classified into six types: bonnet trucks, cab-over trucks, vans, panel vans, light vans, and pickups (Figure 1). Bonnet trucks are trucks with the engine located in front of the driver's seat and a bonnet at the front.
