The residue left over after squeezing the juice out of the stalks of sugarcane and sorghum. The main component is cellulose. It is used as a raw material for pulp, animal feed, etc. Research is also underway to use ethyl alcohol (ethanol) made by alcohol fermentation as an alternative fuel. →Bioethanol
[Additional information] It can also be used as fuel for boilers by burning it as is, and it is attracting attention as an efficient heat source in sugar factories and other places.
