Khyber Pass - Khyber
Khyber Pass is a pass in the Safid Kor range of the Hindu Kush mountain range on the border between Pakistan and Afghanistan, with the highest point at 1,029m above sea level. It has been an important gateway from West and Central Asia to India since ancient times, and Greek culture was also transmitted to the Gandhara region through this pass. It is also a strategic military point, and historically it was the route by which Islamic powers such as the Ghaznavids, the Mughals, and Persia invaded India, and was also a battlefield in the Anglo-Afghan War.
