A specialized technician engaged in medical-related work. As medical care becomes more widespread, more advanced, and more specialized, demand is increasing and occupations are becoming more diverse. Occupations currently legalized in Japan include doctors, dentists, pharmacists, public health nurses, midwives, nurses, radiological technologists, X-ray technicians, clinical laboratory technicians, sanitary technicians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, orthoptists, massage therapists, acupuncturists, moxibustion therapists, and judo therapists.
