Viomycin

An antibiotic. It belongs to the amino sugar antibiotics isolated from the culture medium of the soil-derived actinomycete Streptomyces griseusa red mutant species S. puniceus and S. floridae . It has a strong growth inhibitory effect on tuberculosis bacteria and is used against tuberculosis bacteria resistant to streptomycin. 抗生物質の一つ。土の中の放線菌の一種 Streptomyces griseusa赤色変異種 S. puniceusおよび S. floridaeの培養液から分離されたアミノ糖抗生物質に属する。結核菌に対する発育阻止作用が強く，ストレプトマイシンに耐性をもった結核菌に使用される。
