The Chronicles of Nobutane

Japanese: 宣胤卿記 - のぶたねきょうき

The diary of the mid-Muromachi court noble Nakamikado Nobutane. There are copies of the Hinamiki, which ran from 1480 (Bunmei 12) to 1517 (Eisho 14), as well as the Hassaku Gifts, the Watarikata Nansokata (Watarikata Nansokata) and the Tribute to Horses, but many parts of the Hinamiki are missing. It is also known by the nicknames "Goki" and "Mushiki." Nobutane was promoted to Gon Dainagon in 1488 (Chokyou 2) and was at the center of court noble society. He was skilled in calligraphy and waka poetry, and so the diary contains many important articles about the lives and culture of the court and court nobles.

室町中期の公家中御門（なかみかど）宣胤の日記。1480年(文明12)から1517年(永正14)に至る日次記（ひなみき）と，八朔贈答（はつさくぞうとう），渡(摂関家渡領)方南曹(勧学院)方（わたりかたなんそうかた），貢馬伝奏等引付などの写本が現存しているが，日次記は欠失部分が多い。異称は《愚記》《虫記》。宣胤は1488年(長享2)権大納言に昇り，公家社会の中枢に位置し，自身，書道･歌道に長じており，ために宮廷･公家の生活･文化に関する重要記事が多い。
