〘Noun〙 A type of folk performing art. A group of people dance with kakko drums on their stomachs and himorogi (a sacred tree) on their backs. A type of Furyu dance. It is mainly performed west of Aichi Prefecture. It is the same type as taiko dance, ko dance, usudaiko dance, and gakuuchi dance, and is often danced to pray for rain or to send off insects. 〘名〙 民俗芸能の一つ。羯鼓を腹につけ、背に神籬(ひもろぎ)を負った一団を中心に踊る。風流(ふりゅう)踊りの一つ。主に愛知県以西で行なわれる。太鼓踊り、鼓(こ)踊り、臼太鼓(うすだいこ)踊り、楽打(がくうち)等と同種で、雨乞いや虫送りのために踊ることが多い。
