A town in Toyono County in northern Osaka Prefecture. Located in the southern part of the Tanba Highlands, most of the area is mountainous. Famous for its Tanba chestnut production. Cultivated land is limited, so forestry is practiced in addition to agriculture. Nose Myoken is located here. 98.75 km2 . Population 11,650 (2010).
