Chichibu Onoda Co., Ltd.
The largest cement company in Japan in terms of sales share. It was established in October 1994 through the merger of Chichibu Cement (capital 5.6 billion yen, sales 75.1 billion yen in 1994), based in the Kanto region, and Onoda Cement, based in Western Japan. Capital 34.7 billion yen (May 1997), sales 277.4 billion yen (fiscal year ending March 1997). [Editorial Department]
