Neagari [town] - Neagari

Japanese: 根上[町] - ねあがり

An old town in Nomi County in southern Ishikawa Prefecture. It occupies the left bank of the mouth of the Tedori River and is served by the Hokuriku Main Line. Rice and vegetable cultivation are thriving here. It is a center for the production of silk and rayon textiles, and is also home to iron and chemical industries. Kaga-Maiko and Ko-Maiko are beaches. In February 2005, it merged with Terai-cho and Tatsunokuchi-cho in Nomi County to become a city, forming Nomi City. Area: ^{13.57 km2} . Population: 16,253 (2003).

石川県南部，能美(のみ)郡の旧町。手取(てどり)川河口の左岸を占め，北陸本線が通じる。米作，野菜栽培が盛ん。絹，人絹織物の生産の一中心で，鉄工業，化学工業も立地。加賀舞子，小舞子は海水浴場。2005年２月能美郡寺井町，辰口町と合併し市制，能美市となる。13.57km²。１万6253人（2003）。
