A former town in Numakuma County in the southeast of Hiroshima Prefecture, in the southern part of the Numakuma Peninsula. The main settlement is Kusabuka. Igusa cultivation is thriving, and it is the home of Bingo Omote production. Grapes and mandarin oranges are also produced, and shipbuilding is also carried out.
