Delivery Order - Niwasashizusho

Japanese: 荷渡指図書 - にわたしさしずしょ

A delivery order is a document that instructs the delivery of all or part of a deposited or transported item for which a warehouse receipt, bill of lading, or bill of lading has been issued, and is also called a delivery order (D/O). It is particularly useful in the case of maritime transportation, where it is used to transfer the transported item in parts to several people or for guaranteed delivery. However, a delivery order is not a legally defined document, and its form and content are not uniform.

倉庫証券または船荷証券，貨物引換証の発行されている寄託物や運送品について，その全部または一部を引き渡すよう指図した証券であり，デリバリー･オーダーdelivery order(D/O)ともいわれている。とくに，海上運送の場合に実用性が大きく，運送品を数人に分割譲渡するためや，また保証渡しなどのために利用されている。ただ，荷渡指図書は，このように法律上定められた証券ではなく形式，内容ともに一定していない。
