Nanshi - Nanshi

Japanese: 南史 - なんし
Nanshi - Nanshi
An official history of China. One of the 25 histories. It consists of 10 volumes of the annals and 70 volumes of biographies. Written by Li Yanshou of the Tang Dynasty. Published during the reign of Emperor Gaozong (reigned 649-683 ). A general history that revised the official histories of the four Southern Dynasties: Song, Qi, Liang, and Chen. It corrects the fact that the histories of the Southern and Northern Dynasties are centered on their own countries, and is compiled in a logical order by comparing the two.
