Nango [town] - Nango
A former town in Minaminaka District, southern Miyazaki Prefecture. Facing the Hyuga Nada Sea, including Okino-Oshima Island. The town is primarily involved in agriculture and fishing, with tuna and bonito fishing thriving in Tonoura and Meitsu. The Nichinan Line runs through the town. In March 2009, it was incorporated into Kitago Town, Minaminaka District, and Nichinan City. Area: 63.17 km2 . Population: 11,614 (2005).

Nango [town] [Nangou]

A former town in Toda County, central Miyagi Prefecture. Occupying the left bank of the downstream Naruse River, rice farming is the main industry. The low-lying marshes have been converted into rice fields through drainage and embankment construction. In January 2006, it merged with Ogota Town in Toda County to become a town, Misato Town in Toda County. 39.52 km2 . 7,052 people (2003).

宮城県中部,遠田(とおだ)郡の旧町。鳴瀬川下流左岸を占め,米作を基幹産業とする。低湿地は排水・堤防工事により水田化された。2006年1月,遠田郡小牛田町と合併し町制,遠田郡美里町となる。39.52km2。7052人(2003)。
