Narod (English spelling)

Japanese: ナロード(英語表記)narod
Narod (English spelling)
A Russian word meaning nation, ethnic group, or people. As it has its root in rod (meaning "birth"), it has a strong nuance of a blood-related group. The first person to try to incorporate the distinctive characteristics of the Russian Narod into the realm of ideology was Uvarov, who served as Minister of Education in the 19th century and 19th century. He made the trinity of Russian Orthodoxy, autocracy, and national character the guiding principle of educational policy under the reign of Nicholas I. This idea was imbued with a sense of pride in the equality of Russians to the advanced peoples of Western Europe, or rather, in their own unique superiority, and was inherited by some Slavophiles and Pan-Slavists.
