Mr. Inoue

Japanese: 井上氏 - いのうえうじ
Mr. Inoue
A feudal lord of the early modern period. Born in Mikawa Province. Masanari served Tokugawa Hidetada, and in 1615 (Genwa 1) he was awarded 10,000 koku, and in 1622, this was increased to 52,500 koku in Yokosuka, Totomi, and he was promoted to Roju. He was transferred to other domains over a dozen times until the end of the Edo period, but he held Hitachi Kasama (1645-92, 1702-47) and Totomi Hamamatsu (1758-1817, 1745-68) for relatively long periods. After 1868 (Meiji 1), he was transferred to Kazusa Tsurumai. His kokudaka increased and decreased due to division and increase of land, but in 1718 (Kyoho 3) under Masamine, it was increased to 60,000 koku, which continued until the end of the Edo period.
