Nakafurano [town] - Nakafurano
A town in Sorachi County in central Hokkaido. It occupies the center of the Furano Basin, and the Furano Line runs through it. There are hilly mountain ranges to the east and west, but the center is a wide plain with rice paddies and farmland. The town produces rice, potatoes, onions, and other crops, and also raises livestock. Area: 108.65 km2 . Population: 5,477 (2010).
