Lake Nakatsuna - Nakatsunako

A small lake in the northwest of Nagano Prefecture, in the north of Omachi City. It is one of the Nishina Sanko Lakes. It is a tectonic lake along the Itoigawa-Shizuoka Tectonic Line, and the western side is steeply sloped by the foothills of the Ushiro Tateyama Mountains, but the eastern side is gentler, with National Route 148 and the JR Oito Line running along the lake shore, and the Itoigawa Kaido (Chikuni Kaido) of the early modern period also passed along the lake shore. It has an area of ​​0.14 square kilometers, a circumference of 2 kilometers, and a maximum depth of 12 meters. In winter, it freezes over, making it possible to fish for smelt. Get off at Yanaba Station on the Oito Line.

長野県北西部、大町市北部にある小湖。仁科三湖(にしなさんこ)の一つ。糸魚川‐静岡構造線(いといがわしずおかこうぞうせん)に沿う構造湖で、西側は後立山(うしろたてやま)の山麓(さんろく)が迫り急斜面をなすが、東側は緩傾斜で湖岸を国道148号やJR大糸線が走り、近世の糸魚川街道（千国(ちくに)街道）も湖岸を通っていた。面積0.14平方キロメートル、周囲2キロメートル、最深部12メートル。冬は結氷しワカサギの穴釣りができる。大糸線簗場(やなば)駅下車。
