A former town in Aichi County, central Aichi Prefecture. Located in the Owari Hills, the Aichi Irrigation Canal runs north-south through the town, and the Tobu Kyuryo Line (Linimo) runs east-west. Bordering Nagoya City to the east, the hills have been rapidly developed into residential areas, and there are many commuters to Nagoya City. Famous as the site of the Battle of Komaki and Nagakute. 愛知県中部,愛知郡の旧町。尾張丘陵中にあり,愛知用水が町域を南北に,東部丘陵線(リニモ)が東西に通じる。名古屋市の東に接し,丘陵地の宅地化が著しく,名古屋市内への通勤者が多い。小牧・長久手の戦の古戦場として有名。2005年愛知万博が開催。2012年1月市制施行,長久手市となる。21.54km2。5万2399人(2010)。
