Inabe [town] - Inabe
Inabe is an old town in Inabe County, northern Mie Prefecture. It is located in the northern Ise Plain and is a prosperous area for rice and poultry farming. The main settlement, Sohara, is the location of the Sohara Mikuriya, a branch of the Ise Grand Shrine, and is the center of the county. It also has ironworks. The Sangi Railway Line runs from Kuwana to the town. In December 2003, it merged with the towns of Hokusei, Taian, and Fujiwara in Inabe County to form Inabe City. 23.83 km2 . 8,574 people (2003).
