Glenn Thomas Trewartha

1896‐1984
American geographer and Professor Emeritus at the University of Wisconsin. Known for his research on Japanese geography, he frequently visited Japan to conduct fieldwork. His books include A Reconnaissance: Geography of Japan (1934), Japan: A Physical, Cultural and Regional Geography (1945), and Japan: A Geography (1965). He is also famous as a climatologist, and is known for Trewartha's climate classification.
