A tracing paper for original drawings, made mainly from pulp that has been highly beaten into a viscous consistency. Usually, bleached chemical pulp made from wood is used as the main raw material, but when producing high-quality products that are particularly thin and highly transparent, a large amount of bleached chemical pulp made from bast fibers such as Manila hemp or mitsumata is often used. In order to produce thin, transparent, and strong paper, the paper is generally beaten to a high degree during the papermaking process, but special processing is often used to further improve its strength and transparency.
