A cape located at the eastern end of the Omoe Peninsula in Miyako City, central eastern Iwate Prefecture. It is the easternmost point of Honshu, at 142 degrees 4 minutes 21 seconds east longitude. It forms a cliff facing the Pacific Ocean, and with Mt. Todokasaki (465 meters) and red pines in the background, there is a 30-meter-tall white lighthouse (Todokasaki Lighthouse). Its 320,000 candlelight shines for 38 kilometers at sea, making it an important navigational marker off the coast of Sanriku. It is within the Sanriku Fukko National Park (formerly Rikuchu Kaigan National Park), and there is a bus service that runs partway there from Miyako Station on the JR Yamada Line.
