A group of warriors who shared the same family name and acted together in the late Muromachi period. From the late Heian period to the Kamakura period, warriors formed warrior groups centered around the head of a clan, and some clans even formed organizations called "to" (parties). However, in the Muromachi period, party ties weakened and the size of the group gradually decreased, and the word "shu" (group) began to be used to refer to the group. For example, in the Sengoku period, the Mino Three-Lord Group, the Yamaga Three-Person Group, the Kuishiki Group, the Mukawa Group, the Nasu Group, and the Miyoshi Three-Lord Group were famous groups.
