...A freshwater fish of the family Cyprinidae (illustration). It is also called Ishimoroko (Lake Biwa coast), Kuchiboso (Tokyo), and Oboso (Lake Kasumigaura coast). The Japanese name Motsugo comes from the Kochi dialect.
