Electric power bonds - denryokusai

Electric power bonds are bonds issued by nine electric power companies in Hokkaido, Tohoku, Tokyo, Chubu, Hokuriku, Kansai, Chugoku, Shikoku, and Kyushu to raise funds necessary for capital investment. When adjusting the total amount of corporate bond issuance, electric power bonds are issued separately from other corporate bonds (general corporate bonds), and efforts have been made to give priority to issuance of electric power bonds over general corporate bonds. In addition, the issuance limit is twice that of general corporate bonds, so the proportion of electric power bonds in corporate bonds (consisting of general corporate bonds and electric power bonds) is very high.

電力債は，北海道，東北，東京，中部，北陸，関西，中国，四国，九州の9電力会社が設備投資に必要な資金を調達するために発行する債券である。電力債は，社債発行総額を調整する際に，他の事業債(一般事業債)と別建てで行われており，一般事業債よりも優先して起債されるように努力が払われてきた。また，発行限度額も一般事業債の2倍となっているため，事業債(一般事業債と電力債とからなる)に占める電力債の割合は非常に高いものとなっている。
