A type of halo. The halos of the Shaka Triad, Yakushi Triad, and Amida Triad are made to cover the three statues. They can also be seen in China's Six Dynasties period, and in Japan they are common in early works such as those from the Asuka period. The halos of the Shaka Triad in the Golden Hall of Horyuji Temple and the Amida Triad in Zenkoji Temple in Nagano are representative examples.
