...In 1921-22, land and water reforms resulted in the return of 470,000 hectares of land that had been taken by the imperial government to the Kazakhs. In October 1924, the borders between the Soviet republics of Central Asia were drawn up, and the territories of the Syr Darya and Semirechie oblasts, inhabited by Kazakh people, were incorporated into the Autonomous Kyrgyz Republic, and in 1925 the capital was moved from Orenburg to Kzyl-Orda in the center.
