A table summarizing the celestial positions and radio wave strengths of radio sources in space. Usually, the name of the location of the radio telescope used or the name of the observer is given. The representative radio star catalog, the 3C catalog, means the third one observed at Cambridge. This has an observation frequency of 159MHz, and contains 471 radio sources with an observation frequency of 8JY or more (1JY = 10(-/) 2 6 Wm(-/) 2 Hz(-/) 1 ). 宇宙の電波源の天球上の位置，電波の強さなどを表にしてまとめたもの。使用した電波望遠鏡の所在地，あるいは観測者の名前を付すのがふつうで，代表的な電波星カタログ，3Cカタログは，ケンブリッジで観測された第３番目のものという意味。これは観測周波数159MHzで，8JY（1JY＝10(-/)26Wm(-/)2Hz(-/)1）以上の電波源471個が収録されている。
