Radio Star - Denpasei

Japanese: 電波星 - でんぱせい
Radio Star - Denpasei
Also known as radio object or radio star. A general term for celestial bodies that emit radio waves. Originally, the term was used in the 1940s and 1950s, when it was thought that most radio wave sources were stars. Later, it was discovered that many of these radio wave sources were supernova remnants or galaxies outside the Milky Way. In the 1970s, radio waves were detected from stars, but these were mainly emitted by the gas surrounding the stars rather than the stars themselves. → Pulsars/X-ray stars
