A secret society whose goal was to overthrow the Qing dynasty and restore the Ming dynasty. Also known as the Triads and the Small Sword Society, it was widely organized from southern China to Southeast Asia, mainly among overseas South Seas Chinese, with the slogans of "Restore the Ming Dynasty to the Qing" and "Destroy the Manchuria and Restore the Han Dynasty." It helped the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom, and Sun Yat-sen received assistance from it around the time of its founding. The Karō Society was one of its sects.
