Resistors are also called resistors. They are devices or parts that are connected to an electric circuit to obtain the required electrical resistance. They are characterized by their resistance value (Ω) and allowable power consumption (W). In terms of purpose, they can be broadly divided into large ones for power use and small ones for electronic circuits, and in terms of function, they can be classified into variable resistors that can adjust the resistance value and fixed resistors that provide a constant resistance value.

A resistor generally consists of four parts: a resistive element that produces electrical resistance, an insulating base that supports it, terminals for connecting it to a circuit, and a protective part that protects them from the outside world.
