[raw]? [died] Bishop of Cagliari in Sardinia around 370. He was a fierce opponent of Arianism and supported the anti-Arian Athanasius. He was expelled from the Council of Milan in 355 for refusing to agree to the condemnation of Athanasius. He also refused to recognize Meletius as bishop in Antioch and appointed Paulinus as bishop in 362, which caused a split in the church until Meletius' death. He opposed the decision of the Council of Alexandria in 362 to forgive Arians who had converted, and retired to Sardinia to form a sect called the Luciferians.
