Japanese: 思春期 - ししゅんき

The intermediate period from childhood to adulthood, when secondary sexual characteristics begin to appear in the upper grades of elementary school, followed by sexual interest in the opposite sex. In English, it is called adolescence. It is almost synonymous with adolescence, but when talking about adolescence, the focus is on sexual maturity. Along with this, there is increased sensitivity and mood, as well as anxiety and agitation due to differentiation and independence from the environment that had previously been associated with undifferentiation, and this is called the second rebellious period.
