Japanese: 一宮[市] - いちのみや

A city located in the Nobi Plain on the left bank of the Kiso River, in the northwestern corner of Aichi Prefecture. It was incorporated as a city in 1921. The city center developed as a market town with Torii-mae-cho of Owari Ichinomiya Masumida Shrine at its core. It is served by the Tokaido Main Line, Bisai Line, Meitetsu Nagoya Main Line, and Meishin Expressway. It is the center of the Bisai textile industry, and once produced cotton cloth, but now produces a lot of woolen textiles, and has many related companies such as dyeing and wholesale. In recent years, the electrical equipment industry has also grown. It is also becoming a satellite city of Nagoya City. In April 2005, Bisai City and Kisogawa Town, Haguri County, were incorporated. 113.82 ^km2 . Population: 378,566 (2010).

愛知県北西端，木曾川左岸の濃尾平野にある市。1921年市制。中心市街は尾張一宮真清田(ますみだ)神社の鳥居前町を中核に市場町として発達。東海道本線，尾西線，名鉄名古屋本線，名神高速道路が通じる。尾西(びさい)織物工業地帯の中心で，かつて綿布を産したが，現在は毛織物を多産し，染色，卸商など関連企業も多い。近年は電気機器工業なども伸びている。名古屋市の衛星都市化も顕著。2005年４月尾西市，葉栗郡木曾川町を編入。113.82km²。37万8566人（2010）。
