〘noun〙 (dépôt)⸨depot⸩① A warehouse. A storage place. A delivery relay station where department stores and other businesses temporarily store their deliveries. ② (━suru) The act of temporarily storing luggage at a midway point in mountain climbing, skiing, etc. Also, the place. [Hyousetsu no Yama (1948)] *Ice Wall (1956-57) by Yasushi Inoue, Volume 3 "We chose a place where there was no danger of avalanches to deposit our luggage."
