Tischbein - Tischbein (English spelling)

Japanese: ティシュバイン - てぃしゅばいん（英語表記）Tischbein

This German family of painters produced more than 20 painters, but the following two are representative: (1) Johann Friedrich August Tischbein (1750-1812) After studying under his uncle Johann Heinrich, who was the court painter in Kassel, he trained in Paris, Rome, and Naples. After 1780, he served in the courts of German princes, and in 1800 became director of the Academy in Leipzig (for this reason he is known as the "Tischbein of Leipzig").

ドイツの画家一族で20人余の画家を出したが，代表者として次の2人をあげておく。(1)ヨハン･フリードリヒ･アウグストJohann Friedrich August Tischbein(1750‐1812)　カッセルの宮廷画家である叔父のヨハン･ハインリヒに学んだ後，パリ，ローマ，ナポリで修業。1780年以後ドイツ諸侯の宮廷に仕え，1800年ライプチヒのアカデミーの院長に就任(このため〈ライプチヒのティシュバイン〉と呼ばれる)。
