ACT - ACT

Japanese: ACT -
ACT - ACT

A common aptitude test for those who wish to enter a university in the United States. It is an abbreviation for American College Test. There are no unified regulations for university admission in the United States, and each university determines its own requirements for admission. However, most universities require students to take the ACT or SAT and use them to determine whether they pass or fail. The ACT has been administered by the American College Test Program (ACT) since 1959, and is used as an aptitude test mainly at universities in the central United States. Approximately one million people take the test every year. The test is usually administered nationwide six times a year, and there are no restrictions on eligibility or the number of times it can be taken. If you take the test multiple times, you can send any results to the university you are applying to. The test can also be taken in Japan.

The exam consists of four subjects: English, Reading, Science, and Mathematics, with the option to choose a writing section (many universities recommend this option). The difficulty of the exam is set with the aim of measuring the learning outcomes in high school.
