Tsuna [town] - Tsuna

Japanese: 津名[町] - つな

A former town in central Awaji Island, Tsuna District, Hyogo Prefecture. Its main area is Shizuki, facing Osaka Bay. Oranges, mandarin oranges, and persimmons are cultivated and shipped to the Keihanshin region. It is the home of Awaji beef, and whitebait and sand lance fishing is also thriving. The Kobe Awaji Naruto Expressway runs through the town. In April 2005, it merged with Awaji Town, Kita Awaji Town, Ichinomiya Town, and Higashiura Town in Tsuna District to become Awaji City. Area: ^{54.89 km2} . Population: 17,024 (2003).

兵庫県津名郡，淡路島中部の旧町。中心は大阪湾に面する志筑(しづき)。オレンジ，ナツミカン，花卉(かき)を栽培し京阪神へ出荷する。淡路牛の本場で，シラス，イカナゴ漁も盛ん。神戸淡路鳴門自動車道が通じる。2005年４月津名郡淡路町，北淡町，一宮町，東浦町と合併し市制，淡路市となる。54.89km²。１万7024人（2003）。
