A former town in Hino District, western Tottori Prefecture. It is made up of the midstream basin of the Hino River and the basin of its tributary, the Nogami River. The main settlement, Mizoguchi, developed as a post station on the Izumo Highway, is located along the Hakubi Line and is connected to the Yonago Expressway. The town is involved in agriculture and forestry, and dairy cows and Japanese cattle are kept in mass pastures. In January 2005, it was merged with Kishimoto Town, Saihaku District, to become a town, Hoki Town. Area: 100.36 km2 . Population: 5,331 (2003). 鳥取県西部,日野郡の旧町。日野川中流域と支流野上川の流域からなる。出雲街道の宿駅として発達した主集落溝口は伯備線に沿い,米子自動車道が通じる。農林業を営み,乳牛・和牛集団放牧が行われる。2005年1月西伯郡岸本町と合併し町制,伯耆町となる。100.36km2。5331人(2003)。
