Changbai Mountain

A mountain range that runs from northeast to southwest, roughly parallel to the Yalu River, near the border between northeastern China and Korea. It is the source of the Songhua River, Yalu River, and Tumen River, and its main peak is Mount Paektu (2,744 m). The mountainous area is covered with virgin forests and is a forestry region.
