A radio signal to provide a standard for frequency and time. The mainstream format is to continuously transmit standard frequency radio waves in the so-called 5MHz series, such as 2.5, 5, 10, or 15MHz, with a signal added every second, but some use frequencies other than the 5MHz series, and some transmit at fixed intervals rather than continuously. The second signal in the 5MHz series standard radio signal is displayed by modulating an audio frequency (1000, 1200, 1600 Hz, etc.) for 5 milliseconds, as recommended by the International Consultative Committee for Radiocommunication (CCIR).
