An organization of writers in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. One of the groups under the General Federation of Korean Literature and Art (FKA), which was formed in Pyongyang in March 1946. It held its first convention in September 1953. The federation's charter states its basic mission as "to serve the interests of the working class and people of Korea in accordance with the literary policy of the Workers' Party of Korea." It has subcommittees for novels, poetry, children's literature, criticism, etc., and publishes journals such as "Korean Literature," "Youth Literature," and "Children's Literature." 朝鮮民主主義人民共和国の作家組織。1946年3月平壌で結成された朝鮮文学芸術総同盟(文芸総)の傘下団体の一つ。53年9月に第1回大会を開いた。同盟規約には〈朝鮮労働党の文芸政策にのっとり朝鮮の労働者階級と人民の利益に服務する〉と,その基本任務を明示している。小説,詩,児童文学,評論などの各分科委員会があり,機関誌に《朝鮮文学》《青年文学》《児童文学》がある。委員長は千世鳳(小説家),副委員長は李麦(詩人),康能守(評論家)ら(1981現在)。
