Gut X-ray examination

Roentgenography is an X-ray examination used to check for lesions in the small and large intestine. It is broadly divided into small intestine X-ray examinations and large intestine X-ray examinations.

(1) Oral administration method: This is a method in which a contrast agent is taken orally and then observed over time following a stomach X-ray examination (gastroduodenal examination). This method can clarify the state of the margins due to the degree of tension of the small intestine and the poor extension of the complex mucosal folds caused by movement. However, it is difficult to determine minute lesions due to overlapping of the intestinal tract.

　(1)経口投与法　口から造影剤を飲んで行う胃X線検査(胃･十二指腸検査)にひき続いて時間を追って観察する方法である。この方法は，小腸の緊張の程度や運動に伴う複雑な粘膜襞の伸展不良による辺縁の状態を解明できる。しかし腸管の重なりなどにより微細な病変の判断をすることは困難である。
