Middle counsellor - Chunagon

One of the Ryoge no Kan (officials outside the court). In Japanese, it is read as "Naka ​​no Mono Mosu Tsukasa" and in Chinese, it corresponds to Komon and Monkajiro. According to the "Nihon Shoki," the name of Middle Counselor Miwa Takechimaro appears in 692 (the 6th year of the reign of Empress Jito), and it is known that the office was already under the Kiyomihara Code system, but this office was abolished on the day the Taiho Code came into effect in 701 (the 1st year of the Taiho Code). In 705 (the 2nd year of Keiun), two Dainagon were removed, and three Middle Counselor Awata no Mahito, Takamuku no Maro, and Abe no Sukunamaro were appointed instead. His duties were similar to those of the Dainagon, and he was engaged in reporting government affairs, issuing imperial orders, and participating in the Imperial Council. Although he did not have a corresponding rank because he was a non-official official, he was given the rank of Shoshiinojo at this time, an additional 200 households of land and 30 people as financial support, and in 761 (Tenpyo Hoji 5) he was promoted to the equivalent of Jusanmi.

令外官(りょうげのかん)の一つ。和名では「なかのものもうすつかさ」と読み、唐名では黄門(こうもん)、門下侍郎(もんかじろう)にあてる。『日本書紀』によれば、692年（持統天皇6）に中納言三輪高市麻呂(みわのたけちまろ)の名がみえ、すでに浄御原(きよみはら)令制下に置かれていたことが知れるが、701年（大宝1）の大宝(たいほう)令施行当日この官を廃止した。705年（慶雲2）大納言2人を減じ、かわりに中納言粟田真人(あわたのまひと)、高向麻呂(たかむくのまろ)、阿倍宿奈麻呂(あべのすくなまろ)の3人を任じた。その職務は大納言に近く、政務の奏上、勅命の宣下に従事し、朝議にも参与した。また令外官のため相当位はなかったが、このとき正四位上とし、別に封200戸、資人(しじん)30人を支給され、761年（天平宝字5）には従三位(じゅさんみ)相当となった。
