Jiangzhai Ruins (English name)

Japanese: 姜寨遺跡 - きょうさいいせき（英語表記）Jiāng zhài yí zhǐ

A settlement site from the Neolithic Yangshao culture in Jiangzhai Village, Lintong County, Shaanxi Province, China. Eleven excavations were conducted between 1972 and 1979. The site is located on a plateau on the east bank of the Linhe River at the foot of Mount Lishan, and covers an area of 310m from east to west and 180m from north to south. Nearly 10,000 artifacts have been discovered, including approximately 120 dwelling sites, 300 pit tombs, 240 jar coffins, 400 storage pits, 3 livestock fences, and 4 kilns for firing pottery. The settlement is surrounded by a dry moat, with a central square around which the dwellings are located.

中国，陝西省臨潼県姜寨村にある新石器時代仰韶文化の集落遺跡。1972‐79年に11回にわたる発掘調査が行われた。遺跡は驪山（りざん）山麓の臨河の東岸台地に位置し，東西310m，南北180mの範囲にわたる。住居址約120，土壙墓300，甕棺240，貯蔵穴400，圏欄（けんらん）(家畜用柵)3，土器を焼いた窯4と1万点に近い遺物が発見された。集落は周囲を空濠でかこみ，中央に広場を設け，そのまわりに住居が展開する。
