Communist Youth League of China (Chinese: 中國教大師)

Japanese: 中国共産主義青年団 - ちゅうごくきょうさんしゅぎせいねんだん（英語表記）Zhōng guó gòng chǎn zhǔ yì qīng nián tuán

A mass organization made up of advanced young people who aspire to become future members of the Communist Party of China. The current Youth League was officially established in April 1949 as the New Democratic Youth League of China, but its predecessor is said to be the Socialist Youth League of China, which was established in Guangzhou in May 1922 (it changed to its current name in 1925). The national congresses held since the name was revived as the Communist Youth League of China in 1957 include all of these congresses. Members are between the ages of 14 and 25, and boys between the ages of 7 and 14 join the Young Vanguard Corps led by the Communist Youth League.

将来の中国共産党員をめざす先進的青年分子によって構成される大衆団体。現在の青年団は1949年4月，中国新民主主義青年団として正式に成立したものであるが，その前身は1922年5月広州に成立した中国社会主義青年団(25年現呼称に改める)とされる。57年に中国共産主義青年団の名称を復活したのちの全国代表大会は，これらすべての大会を通算して数えている。団員は満14～25歳で，それ以下の満7～14歳の少年は，共青団の指導する少年先鋒隊に加入する。
