Dates of birth and death unknown. According to the Kojiki and Nihon shoki, he was the 14th emperor. He reigned in the 4th century, but it is unclear. He is also called Emperor Tarashi Nakatsuhiko. He was the second son of Yamato Takeru no Mikoto. His mother was Fudaji no Irihime. His empress was Okinagatarashihime (Empress Jingu). According to the Nihon Shoki, when they were discussing how to defeat the Kumaso at Kashihi Palace in Tsukushi (Kashii, Fukuoka City), the empress was given a divine message to defeat the Silla before the Kumaso. The emperor did not believe the message and attacked the Kumaso, but was unable to win. He also fell ill and died at the age of 52. According to the Kojiki, he died suddenly after incurring the wrath of the gods. He is buried in Nagano Mausoleum in Kawachi (Fujiidera City, Osaka Prefecture).
