(1) A mine car that can automatically unload (a vehicle used to transport ore in mines, etc.). (2) A truck that unloads soil and other cargo by tilting the loading platform with hydraulics or other means. Also called a dump truck. There are rear dumps that drop cargo backwards, side dumps that drop cargo to the side, and three-way dumps that can drop cargo freely backwards or on both sides. There are also bottom dumps that open the bottom of the loading platform without tilting it.

（１）自動的に荷降ろしができる鉱車（鉱山などで鉱石の運搬に用いる車両）。（２）荷台を油圧などで傾斜させ土砂などの積荷をおろすトラック。ダンプトラックともいう。積荷を後方に落とすリヤダンプ，側方に落とすサイドダンプ，後方・両側方に自由に落とせる三転ダンプがある。また荷台を傾斜させずに荷台の底を開いて落とすボトムダンプもある。
